About Me

Choosing a therapist is an important process. Your level of comfort, trust, and confidence is paramount to growth and change. I recognize the importance of this 'good fit' and strive to provide a welcoming and accepting place where you come first.

I've been providing therapy for over 25 years, initially as a creative arts therapist supporting addiction treatment and the needs of at-risk youth. After earning my masters in psychology, I gained licensure as a marriage and family therapist and broadened my scope - working with individuals from ages 9 to 99 and integrating a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), family-systems models, and various mindfulness, somatic, and depth-centered approaches. I'd be happy to talk more with you about these styles of therapy and how they contrast with and complement each other!

My current practice centers on supporting my clients through transitional times in their lives, including loss of relationships, career changes, parenting struggles, or redefining their authentic selves. I strive to get underneath the problem and discover the root of stuck or painful patterns. I believe in the power of face-to-face interaction and the unique quality of being together and so I generally work in-person with my clients, though am happy to provide telehealth options as needed.

My husband and I are proud parents of two young adults and are both California natives. We love to run on our local trails with our dogs and are currently on a mission to hike all of the National Parks. I am also pursuing my doctoral degree in Depth Psychology and consider myself a lifelong learner. I look forward to receiving your call and getting to know you.
